United Living joins CWOATA Sponsorship Programme
United Living, one of the UK’s leading providers of refurbished and new build living solutions, has become the latest company to support CWOATA’s popular sponsorship programme. Initially, the company will sponsor 16 candidates from the Stevenage area through CWOATA’s PEAT Course. This will be followed by further sponsored courses in other London areas, starting with Dagenham.
CWOATA’a sponsorship programme has been designed to integrate with the needs of companies with a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy that covers community and social welfare issues. Under the programme, CWOATA assumes the responsibility of sourcing suitable candidates (though the sponsor is welcome to participate) from a specific area, runs a 5-day PEAT course specifically for them, and arranges for a CSCS Health and Safety test. Most pass, as the course is designed with the H&S test in mind. CWOATA then actively seeks to find a job with a local company for each candidate.
“It’s an excellent scheme,” said Jacquie Noon, Social Value Manager at United Living, “which plays an important role in helping us satisfy the criteria of our Social Matrix. I recommend it to other companies with similar needs.”
